About the author
Some names carry history. Some borrow from it. A few hide in it.
Ours is one of those.
Charles Cornwallah is a pen name, borrowed from a man who once arrived in India with ambition, stayed for influence, and left behind… mixed results. Let's just say this author prefers building stories to building empires.
He's not here to march. He's here to observe, imagine, exaggerate responsibly, and occasionally misbehave on purpose.
He believes the best way to understand history is not to agree with it, but to laugh at it (gently).

A few quirks, habits & other suspicious activities
Runs on caffeine, curiosity and the occasional burst of unreasonable optimism.
Chief advisor to two young plot reviewers (also known as his twin sons). They are tough, fair and completely unsparing.
Can spend hours exploring a single idea. The rest of the world calls it procrastination.
Loves maps, myths and mysteries, especially the ones that don't make it into textbooks.
Collects books faster than he can read them. He calls it "future research".
Dreams of writing stories that travel far, outlive him, and cause a little mischief.
Before you turn the page
This book is a blend of imagination, research, late nights, early mornings, AI tools, and a fair amount of selective memory.
If you enjoy it, the credit is yours. If you don't, history will be blamed.
Thank you for spending your time with my story. Stories, after all, are what keep empires (and humans) from being completely dull.
